Florida State loses to Louisville, extending road skid

The Florida State Seminoles suffered a 44-20 loss to the Louisville Cardinals, dropping their season record to 3-3. Despite an early 14-0 lead, Florida State was outscored 44-6 over the remainder of the game.

The defeat extends a significant road losing streak for the program. While the team has lost 13 consecutive games away from Tallahassee (including neutral-site games in the Orange Bowl and in Dublin), their last actual road victory occurred on November 25, 2023, against Florida.

Discussions surrounding the loss have focused on coaching decisions, specifically a failed fourth-down attempt while leading 14-0, which critics suggest shifted the momentum in favor of Louisville.
