Florida students arrested for beating teen defender

Nine students from Harmony High School in Florida have been arrested following an assault on a 17-year-old classmate. The incident occurred after the victim intervened in the school cafeteria to stop a group of students from pelting a girl with carrots.

According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, the confrontation escalated after the final school bell. One student allegedly attacked the victim as he walked toward his car, at which point eight others joined the assault. Cell phone footage captured the group beating the teenager while bystanders encouraged the fight.

The victim required 11 stitches to his face due to the attack. Authorities identified the suspects through video evidence. Two 18-year-olds, Quianelle Antonio Reyes-Cintron and Bryan Alexander Ramirez, were booked into the Osceola County Jail, while seven other minors—including a 14-year-old—were taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center. All suspects face charges of aggravated battery and inciting a riot.
