Florida vs. South Carolina game enters weather delay
The Week 6 matchup between the Florida Gators and the South Carolina Gamecocks has entered a weather delay due to lightning in the Gainesville area. At the time of the delay during halftime, South Carolina held a 17-10 lead.
Florida's offense has struggled to find momentum, hampered by the absence of star receiver Vernell Brown III. Running back Jadan Baugh has been limited to 14 yards on seven carries, while quarterback Aaron Philo has recorded 146 passing yards and one touchdown against one interception. South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers has led the Gamecocks with 135 passing yards and two touchdowns.
Under SEC weather policy, play may resume after 30 minutes if no lightning is detected within an eight-mile radius. Rain is expected to continue throughout the afternoon.
