Florida woman accused of animal cruelty claims framing by ex-husband

Malia Nummerdor, a 38-year-old mother from Punta Gorda, Florida, was arrested on charges of sexual contact with an animal following accusations made by her estranged husband, Erik Nummerdor.

According to charging documents from the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office, Erik Nummerdor claimed he discovered video evidence of the acts while reviewing footage from security cameras he had installed to investigate missing money. He provided the recording and a laptop containing the footage to authorities.

Malia Nummerdor maintains that the allegations are untrue and claims she is being framed by her vengeful ex-husband. In response, friends have launched an online fundraiser to assist with her legal fees and to support her and her two young sons, noting that the family has been displaced from their home. As of the latest reports, the fundraiser has seen limited financial support.
