Florida woman arrested for sexual contact with family dog

Malia Elizabeth Nummerdor, 38, was arrested in Charlotte County, Florida, on charges of engaging in sexual contact with an animal. The investigation began after her husband, Erik Nummerdor, posted allegations on Facebook claiming to possess photographic and video evidence of the acts.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, the evidence was captured by home surveillance cameras. The husband stated he had originally installed the cameras to investigate the theft of money from a household coin jar. Upon reviewing the footage from a bedroom camera, he reportedly discovered the disturbing activity involving the family dog, Ranger.

During questioning, Nummerdor acknowledged being the person in the video and confirmed the dog's identity, but she denied performing sexual acts, claiming she was merely petting the animal. Investigators noted that her explanations were inconsistent with the recorded footage. Nummerdor was booked into the Charlotte County Jail, where she was noted to have smiled for her mugshot.
