Floridablanca peace judge dies in motorcycle accident

Cenen Oswaldo Rosas Castañeda, a well-known peace judge in Floridablanca, died following a motorcycle accident on the Transversal Oriental near the Fátima interchange. The incident occurred around 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 29.

Preliminary investigations by the Floridablanca Transit Directorate indicate that Rosas Castañeda was traveling on a Discover 135 motorcycle when he collided with the rear right side of a private vehicle. The impact caused him to lose control, striking a curb and an energy pole, which resulted in severe chest injuries.

Authorities clarified that a public service bus present at the scene was not involved in the initial collision; rather, the motorcycle slid under the bus after the victim had already fallen onto the roadway. Emergency services transported Rosas Castañeda to the Clínica Foscal, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Investigators are currently examining the scene and evidence to determine if the accident was caused by negligence or a failure to maintain safe following distances.
