Florida's 25th Congressional District race intensifies

The contest for Florida’s newly drawn 25th Congressional District between Democratic incumbent Jared Moskowitz and Republican challenger Scott Singer has become one of the most expensive House races in the 2026 cycle. The redrawn district, which stretches along the coastline from Delray Beach to Miami Beach, includes portions of Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties.

Moskowitz, a moderate who has represented Florida’s 23rd district for nearly four years, is navigating tensions between his pro-Israel record and criticism from the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. Republican-aligned groups have utilized advertising to link him to progressive members of Congress.

Singer, the former mayor of Boca Raton, is running as an ‘America First’ Republican. He has emphasized his municipal record of cutting taxes and red tape, while criticizing federal spending on border security. His campaign has also faced scrutiny regarding a May 2024 trip to Qatar, which opponents have used to question his judgment in a district with a significant Jewish population. Singer has defended the trip as routine municipal diplomacy.
