Florin Răducioiu discusses medical treatments during Italian football career

Former Romanian striker Florin Răducioiu has shared reflections on his professional career in Italy and his personal life in a recent interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

Regarding his time playing for Italian clubs, Răducioiu made claims about medical practices. He stated that while at Brescia, players received intravenous injections of a pink liquid that was described to them as mineral salts. He also alleged that at AC Milan, players were offered pills that they could take if they wished, which were described as vitamins but appeared to increase stamina during matches. He noted that he was frequently selected for anti-doping controls during his time at Brescia, Bari, and Verona and never faced issues.

Reflecting on his lifestyle during the 1990s, Răducioiu described himself as a “circus character,” noting a period of excessive spending on luxury dinners and wine in Monaco. He also recalled personal distractions, such as a relationship in Verona that impacted his focus on the pitch. Now based in Bucharest, he works as a TV analyst and brand ambassador, stating that his life is much more stable.
