Florin Tănase nears transfer to Omonia

Romanian midfielder Florin Tănase is set to join the Cypriot club Omonia. The 31-year-old international is traveling to Cyprus to undergo medical examinations following his departure from FCSB.

Tănase expressed excitement about the move, noting that Omonia is a significant club with a long history that competes in European competitions. He confirmed that he spoke with Ilias Charalambous regarding the team.

Addressing his exit from FCSB, Tănase stated that his decision was personal and not driven by conflict with Marius Baciou, despite recent rumors. He noted that while he felt a deep connection to his former club, recent internal situations and departures within the team influenced his choice to move on.
