Florinel Coman scores for Al-Gharafa before sustaining injury

Romanian international Florinel Coman scored for Al-Gharafa in an AFC Champions League Elite match against Al-Ahli SC. After a nine-month scoring drought, the 28-year-old winger equalized in the 53rd minute with a right-footed shot into the top corner following an assist from Saifeldeen Fadlalla.

Despite the goal, Coman was forced to leave the pitch in the 67th minute due to an injury and was replaced by Amjad Mohamed. The severity of the injury remains unknown, which is significant as Coman is currently included in Gică Hagi’s preliminary squad for upcoming matches against Poland and Bosnia.

Al-Ahli SC eventually won the match 2-1, with Matheus Goncalves scoring the decisive goal in the 86th minute after Al-Gharafa's Sano was sent off. Coman, who is under contract with the Qatari club until next summer, remains a key player for the team, making a winter return to FCSB unlikely according to his agent, Federico Pastorello.
