FLOW earns first Michelin star in Philippines 2027 guide

The 2027 MICHELIN Guide Manila and Environs & Cebu has been unveiled, recognizing 127 establishments across Metro Manila, Cebu, Cavite, and Pampanga. FLOW, a Peruvian-Filipino tasting menu restaurant in Makati led by Chef Kevin Jonathan Uy and co-executive chef Gabriel Ong, earned the Philippines’ only new Michelin star this year.

Helm, led by Chef Josh Boutwood, retained its two-star distinction and remains the only restaurant in the country above the one-star tier. Eight other restaurants maintained their one-star ratings, including Asador Alfonso, Celera, Gallery by Chele, Hapag, Inatô, Kása Palma, Toyo Eatery, and Linamnam.

The updated guide includes 31 Bib Gourmand establishments and 86 Michelin-Selected restaurants. New special awards were also introduced, with Frances Tariga of Tadhanà receiving Opening of the Year, Francis Lacson of Digámo receiving the Young Chef Award, Clyde Joshua Zafra of Tito Boy receiving the Service Award, and Ron Job Sanchez of Automat receiving the Exceptional Cocktails Award.
