Flower and lantern prices remain stable ahead of All Saints' Day

As All Saints' Day approaches, retailers and markets in Mostar and Virovitica report high demand for flowers, lanterns, and cemetery arrangements.

In Mostar, florists note that prices remain largely similar to last year, with only minor increases for certain species. Chrysanthemums remain the most sought-after flower, often paired with roses, anthuriums, or carnations. Arrangements in local shops start from 30 marks, while street vendors offering home-grown chrysanthemums provide more affordable options.

In Virovitica, lantern prices range from 0.99 euros for simple models to approximately 4 euros for larger or long-burning versions, with electronic options available from 1.60 euros. Chrysanthemums continue to be the traditional symbol of the holiday. At local markets, cut flowers range from 2.50 to 3 euros depending on quality, while retail chains offer chrysanthemum bouquets starting at 2.29 euros for three stems. Potted plants and other seasonal decorations, such as heather, are also widely available.
