Floyd Samba set for Champions League debut with Manchester City

Manchester City midfielder Floyd Samba is expected to make his Champions League debut in the upcoming match against AEK. The 17-year-old is slated to start in the attacking line, replacing Erling Haaland in the lineup.

Samba has been part of the Manchester City academy since age nine and has shown significant promise, recording 17 goals and six assists in the 2025-26 youth season. He recently made his senior debut in a League Cup match against Norwich, where he scored twice.

The player also has ties to Greek football; his father, Christopher Samba, previously played for Panathinaikos in 2016. Additionally, Floyd's brother, Tyron Samba, recently signed a contract extension with Manchester City through 2030.
