Fluminense coach Marcão discusses future and team unity

Following Fluminense’s 3-0 victory over Vitória in the Brasileirão, coach Marcão addressed the team’s emotional recovery after their elimination from the Libertadores. He noted that while the team struggled in previous matches due to emotional factors, the recent win demonstrated successful execution of training plans, specifically regarding organization and offensive transitions.

Marcão also commented on his professional future at the club. While an existing agreement with the board involves discussing his position at the end of the season, he expressed a strong willingness to continue leading the team. Previously, there were indications he might return to a permanent assistant coaching role in 2027, but he has now publicly stated his interest in remaining as head coach.
