Fluminense midfielder Nonato reacts to Libertadores elimination

Fluminense midfielder Nonato expressed his distress on social media following the club's elimination from the Conmebol Libertadores semifinals by Palmeiras. The decision was reached during a penalty shootout after the aggregate score remained tied at 2-2, following a 1-0 victory for the Rio de Janeiro side in regulation time.

Nonato, who missed his penalty attempt during the shootout, described the experience as deeply painful and thanked supporters for their unconditional support. He stated that while the result was cruel, he remains committed to facing future challenges with his teammates.

Following the elimination, Fluminense is shifting its focus to the Campeonato Brasileiro, where the team currently sits in fifth place under the management of Marcão.
