Silva left Fluminense at the end of 2025 for Porto, where he won a Portuguese league title before his contract expired. He was not selected for Brazil’s World Cup squad, prompting a brief return to his formative club. Fluminense’s president Mattheus Montenegro and director of football Paulo Angioni negotiated the deal, with former teammate Hulk reportedly assisting behind the scenes.
