Flávia Teles withdraws from federal deputy race due to health

Flávia Teles, a candidate for federal deputy, has withdrawn from this year's elections due to severe health issues. Her campaign coordination announced the decision on Tuesday following her hospitalization in São Paulo.

Teles has been diagnosed with severe hypothyroidism. Her physician, cardiologist Ludhmila Hajjar, stated that the condition has reached a point where the thyroid gland is no longer producing sufficient hormones for vital functions, making physical or emotional strain impossible.

This marks the second time Teles has been hospitalized in São Paulo in 15 days for the same condition. Although she had recently returned to Goiás in an attempt to resume her campaign, her health deteriorated, necessitating intensive treatment. Teles expressed her intention to resume her professional projects and the activities of the Flávia Teles Institute once she has fully recovered.
