Flávio Bolsonaro allies attribute letter errors to ChatGPT

Allies of Brazilian Senator Flávio Bolsonaro have attributed errors in a recently published letter to the use of artificial intelligence. According to digital influencer Paulo Figueiredo, an associate of the Bolsonaro family, ChatGPT was used to assist with the document while the group was in the United States.

The errors included the use of an outdated Brazilian coat of arms from the era when the country was known as “Estados Unidos do Brazil,” featuring the archaic spelling with a “z.” Additionally, an initial version of the text reportedly contained a claim where Flávio Bolsonaro proclaimed himself the “true elected president” of Brazil.

Figueiredo stated that the AI mistakenly pulled text from a previous draft containing the presidential claim instead of the intended phrase, “true leader of Brazil.” He noted that the group found the errors humorous and explained that the document underwent multiple revisions involving several contributors.
