Flávio Bolsonaro targets Alexandre de Moraes amid planned protests

Presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro has intensified his political offensive against Supreme Federal Court (STF) Minister Alexandre de Moraes. During a visit to imprisoned former aide Filipe Martins in Paraná, Bolsonaro labeled Moraes a ‘rotten orange’ and accused him of using the Fake News Inquiry to conduct political persecution. He also characterized the judicial proceedings against Martins as a ‘farce’ and an injustice.

Bolsonaro has called on STF Minister Cármen Lúcia to vote in favor of a formal investigation into Moraes. This escalation coincides with a planned large-scale demonstration on September 7th at Avenida Paulista in São Paulo, organized by opposition leaders to demand the impeachment of Moraes and protest against corruption. The protests are fueled by recent revelations regarding communications between Moraes and banker Daniel Vorcaro.

In a separate political development, candidate Renan Santos has accused Flávio Bolsonaro of involvement in the Banco Master scandal, claiming the Bolsonaro family received significant funds from Vorcaro. Santos has expressed a desire to see Flávio Bolsonaro imprisoned if elected. Meanwhile, Bolsonaro's campaign is attempting to establish institutional channels with the STF by sending Senator Rogério Marinho to meet with Minister Gilmar Mendes, seeking to ensure future governability despite ongoing rhetoric against Moraes.
