Flávio Bolsonaro criticizes Federal Police operation in Roraima

During a campaign visit to Boa Vista, Roraima, presidential candidate Flávio Bolsonaro criticized a Federal Police operation, labeling it “political interference” by Minister Flávio Dino. The investigation, known as Operation Make Up, was authorized by Dino to track parliamentary amendments allegedly diverted to entities linked to the production of the film “Dark Horse.” The operation involved 49 search and seizure warrants across three states and the Federal District, targeting figures including Federal Deputy Mário Frias.

Bolsonaro denied any wrongdoing regarding the film, asserting that “not a single cent of public money” was involved in its production. He suggested the investigation is motivated by his rising position in opinion polls relative to President Lula.

Additionally, Bolsonaro addressed regional development in Roraima, claiming that federal bureaucracy and “ideological persecution” in environmental and indigenous sectors hinder the state's progress. He pledged that, if elected, he would appoint a Supreme Federal Court justice who understands Roraima's specific needs and would invest in infrastructure to improve connectivity with neighboring regions.
