Flávio Bolsonaro delays return from Washington, cancels Northeast campaign stop

Senator Flávio Bolsonaro, a pre‑candidate for Brazil’s presidency, postponed his return from Washington, D.C., by one day, arriving in Brasília on Wednesday instead of Tuesday. The extra day in the United States led him to cancel a planned campaign event in Brazil’s Northeast region that had been scheduled for Thursday.

Bolsonaro also said he is waiting for former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro to join his campaign at “the time she feels is right.” He told reporters, “I’m always open to talk, always waiting for the time she thinks is enough to be with us in the campaign, wearing the shirt, because I’m sure Michelle thinks like me.”
