Flávio Bolsonaro launches digital 'elite' to counter Vorcaro scandal
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL‑RJ) has assembled a group of right‑wing deputies with strong social‑media followings as a digital "troop" to manage his electoral narrative. The team, which includes figures such as Nikolas Ferreira, Carlos Jordy and Bia Kicis, monitors online discussions and rapidly counters attacks following the release of audio in which Bolsonaro asked banker Daniel Vorcaro for money to finance a film about his father, former President Jair Bolsonaro. Bolsonaro admitted the request, described it as sponsorship, and confirmed he visited Vorcaro’s home after the banker’s release from prison.
The campaign now seeks to hold its current poll position, describing the expected outcome as a stable “plateau” despite the scandal. To reinforce his base, Bolsonaro plans a meeting in the United States with former President Donald Trump, viewing the association as crucial for maintaining support among Bolsonaro’s supporters. The digital troop is presented as an organic mobilization rather than automated messaging, aiming to shape public opinion in real time.
