Flávio Bolsonaro proposes unified electronic records for SUS

Flávio Bolsonaro has announced plans to implement a unified electronic medical record system to integrate patient data across municipal, state, federal, and private networks. The proposal aims to utilize technology and artificial intelligence to accelerate medical services and reduce waiting lines within the Unified Health System (SUS).

Bolsonaro also stated his intention to bring the service standards of Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein to the public health system. As part of his platform, he has invited physician Cláudio Lottenberg to lead the Ministry of Health should he win the election.

Lottenberg, a former director at Hospital Albert Einstein and former municipal health secretary of São Paulo, has a history of criticizing the federal government's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, specifically regarding the lack of unified national guidance. He is currently on leave from his governance roles at Albert Einstein following the political nomination.
