Fly91 appoints veteran Krishnan Balakrishnan as President & COO

India's regional carrier Fly91 announced the appointment of Krishnan Balakrishnan as President and Chief Operating Officer. Balakrishnan, who spent eight years as Deputy CEO of Jazeera Airways in Kuwait and previously served as CFO of GoAir and senior roles at Jet Airways and Transwest Helicopters, will lead day‑to‑day operations and work with aircraft manufacturers and strategic partners.

The airline also named Jitendra Kushwah as Chief Financial Officer. Kushwah joins from FSTC, where he was part of the founding leadership team, and has held senior finance positions at SpiceJet, IndiGo and the Oberoi Group. Both executives will report directly to Fly91 founder, Managing Director and CEO Manoj Chacko, who said the new leadership will be "invaluable as we prepare for our next phase of growth".

Fly91 operates a growing regional network of 12 destinations across southern and western India, covering roughly 280 weekly flights, and the appointments are intended to support its continued expansion and connectivity for underserved communities.
