flydubai launches daily direct service from Dubai to Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport

flydubai began daily operations between Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) in Bangkok on 1 July 2026, marking its second Thai destination after Krabi. The inaugural flight, operated with a Boeing 737 MAX, is part of a broader effort by the Thai government to attract high‑spending Middle‑Eastern tourists, especially from the UAE, which supplied 188,447 visitors between January and June 2026. The route provides 12,920 new seats for the July‑August summer period, with plans to increase to two flights per day from 15 September. flydubai’s CEO highlighted the service as a gateway for leisure and business travel, while the Tourism Authority of Thailand noted the importance of the UAE as a long‑haul market. The flights operate under the flydubai‑Emirates codeshare, allowing seamless connections through Dubai.
