Flying Bark unveils animated horror-comedy ‘Doomsweepers’

The animated horror-comedy series ‘Doomsweepers’ has been unveiled, produced by the Sydney-based 2D animation studio Flying Bark. Created by director Sarah Harper, the show follows a team of misfit janitors working in a mysterious research facility. The narrative focuses on the crew as they clean up the aftermath of supernatural battles and demonic incursions, eventually transitioning from mundane cleaning tasks to saving the world while uncovering facility secrets.

The project involves several key partners, including Olan Rogers’ animation studio Lightfold and the Los Angeles-based publishing house Gungnir. To support the production, a crowdfunding round has been launched in collaboration with Lightfold, accompanied by the release of a first-look trailer. The series is described as having a vibrant, ‘candy-coloured’ art direction that distinguishes it from typical dark or dystopian apocalyptic content.
