FlyOne co-founder alleges interest group is using government to pressure airline
Vladimir Cebotari, co-founder of the airline FlyOne, has alleged that a private interest group is using the current government to exert pressure on the company. Cebotari stated that he knows the identities of those responsible and claims they are using false information to influence state institutions into making decisions against the airline.
This comes amid an ongoing conflict between FlyOne and Moldovan authorities. In June 2026, the Council for the Examination of Investments of Importance for State Security rejected certain investments and ordered a change in the company's control within 90 days. FlyOne has challenged these decisions in court, arguing that the authorities relied on a state security law that was repealed in 2025.
