FM Logistic completes acquisition of German logistics group Schäflein

FM Logistic has finalized the acquisition of a majority stake in the German logistics group Schäflein. The transaction, which received regulatory approval from the German Federal Cartel Office, establishes a significant presence for the French company in Germany.

Schäflein is a family-owned specialist in industrial logistics and transport, operating over 35 sites across Germany, Austria, and Poland with more than 500,000 square meters of warehouse space. The partnership aims to focus on three strategic priorities: developing an integrated service offering in Germany, strengthening European transport corridors by integrating FM Logistic’s international volumes into Schäflein’s groupage network, and scaling Schäflein’s technological solutions.

Key technologies to be deployed across the FM Logistic network in France, Poland, and Spain include LOCIT advanced automation and the SprintBOX circular container system. Jean-Christophe Machet, chairman of FM Logistic, stated that the move will provide tangible commercial and technical benefits to customers while preserving Schäflein’s entrepreneurial spirit and industrial expertise.
