FNB Namibia and Arch Resources partner to boost SME project finance

FNB Namibia and Arch Resources have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to improve access to project finance for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Namibia’s construction and infrastructure sectors.

The partnership aims to mitigate common financing hurdles faced by SMEs, such as limited collateral, short financial track records, and cash flow constraints during project execution. Under the agreement, Arch Resources will provide technical support, project vetting, monitoring, and mentorship, while FNB Namibia will offer structured financial solutions and guarantees to eligible businesses.

Nesha De Jongh, FNB Namibia Head of Small and Medium Enterprise, noted that securing a project is often just the beginning of the challenge for SMEs, emphasizing the need for financial support that considers both the business and the specific project requirements to ensure successful delivery.
