Fnopi President welcomes new specialized nursing degrees in Italy

Barbara Mangiacavalli, president of Fnopi, has expressed satisfaction regarding the success of a recent academic reform aimed at enhancing the nursing profession in Italy. The reform, developed in collaboration with the government and various academic conferences, introduces three new specialized degree programs.

These new academic paths are designed to address the increasing complexity of healthcare needs, moving beyond direct assistance to include care pathway management, prevention, health education, and continuity of care. The formal recognition of these changes followed the publication of the new degrees in the Official Gazette and a recent acknowledgment of the nursing profession's value by President Sergio Mattarella.
