FNOPI to host European nursing mobility roundtable in Rome

The National Federation of Nursing Orders (FNOPI) will host a roundtable discussion titled ‘The European Horizon for Nursing Professions: Mobility and Quality Work’ at the Welfair exhibition in Rome on October 14, 2026.

The event will address the transformation of the Italian National Health Service, focusing on professional autonomy, care safety, and the management of international workforce mobility. Key topics include recent European institutional developments, such as the EU strategy for the healthcare workforce and the Fair Labour Mobility Package.

Discussions will also cover the revision of Directive 2005/36/EC and the introduction of digital tools like the European Digital Recognition Solution (EDRS) and integrated digital qualifications within the EU Wallet, which are intended to replace the traditional European Professional Card (EPC).
