Foça hosts U18 European Beach Volleyball Championship

The 2026 CEV U18 European Beach Volleyball Championship has commenced in Foça, Turkey. Hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality in collaboration with the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and the Turkish Volleyball Federation, the tournament features 70 teams from 35 European countries.

The competition includes 32 teams in both the men’s and women’s categories. Matches are being held at the Ali İlçan Social Facilities and the Itfaiye Square. The tournament will proceed through pool play and knockout stages over four days, concluding with an awards ceremony on September 20.

Italian teams are among the competitors, with Jack Bernardini and Federico Viscuso entering the men’s tournament as the third seed in Pool C. In the women’s tournament, Micol Lafuenti and Margherita Coretti are seeded fourth in Pool D.
