Focus Cia. de Dança performs at Mormaço Cultural festival

The Mormaço Cultural 2026 festival in Boa Vista featured several activities by the Focus Cia. de Dança. The dance production ‘Bichos Dançantes’ was performed at the Teatro Municipal in the Sala Roraimeira, attracting families with its fable-inspired story about a 100-year-old tortoise named Elisa. The performance utilized an original soundtrack by the Brazilian duo TUIM and aimed to address themes such as freedom, hope, and affection.

In addition to the main performances, the festival hosted a free contemporary dance workshop led by director and choreographer Alex Neoral. Local dancers and students participated in technical exercises and learned choreography from the company’s production ‘As canções que você dançou pra mim’. Neoral noted that these workshops serve to exchange artistic languages and connect the touring company with local artists.
