Focus Cia de Dança to represent Brazil at Living Dance Festival in China

Focus Cia de Dança is representing Brazil at the Living Dance Festival in China. A team of approximately 20 dancers, directors, and technicians is embarking on a 13-day tour, marking their first visit to the country.

The company will perform the production ‘Still Reich’, a work inspired by the minimalist music of American composer Steve Reich. The show consists of four pieces choreographed by artistic director Alex Neoral, created in 2008 and 2018.

Scheduled performances include stops in Hohhot at the Hohhot Minzu Theatre on August 28 and 29, Beijing at the LDTX Theatre on August 31 and September 1, and Zhengzhou at the Zhengzhou Grand Theater on September 3. In addition to performances, the Brazilian team will conduct workshops to share their artistic language with local groups. The tour is organized in connection with BeijingDance/LDTX, a prominent contemporary dance organization in China.
