FODAC responds to Ans-T Crazy regarding state support for Paris concert

The Fonds de Développement des Arts et de la Culture (FODAC) has issued a formal response to statements made by artist Ans-T Crazy regarding state support for his concert at the Zénith in Paris, held on September 11, 2026.

During a television appearance, Ans-T Crazy suggested that while he had met with the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Handicrafts, Moussa Moïse Sylla, he received no subsequent follow-up from the minister. The artist claimed that support for the event came primarily from FODAC rather than direct ministerial intervention.

In a communiqué, FODAC described these remarks as ‘inopportune and unfounded.’ The institution clarified that as a public establishment under the Ministry of Culture, it mobilized both institutional and financial resources to assist the artist. FODAC further noted that Minister Sylla had personally coordinated with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Morissanda Kouyaté, to expedite visa processes for the artist's team, citing this as evidence of the government's commitment to promoting Guinean culture internationally.
