Fog covers Vigo estuary and Morrazo peninsula

A heavy bank of fog covered the Vigo estuary and the Morrazo peninsula on Monday evening, creating a significant visual spectacle across the region. The fog moved from the sea toward the interior, affecting areas from A Guarda to Fisterra, including Cangas, Moaña, and the city of Vigo.

MeteoGalicia attributed the sudden phenomenon to maritime winds blowing warm air over the cold ocean surface, causing condensation and the formation of low clouds. In Vigo, the fog ascended toward the city, with observers noting the sound of fog sirens in the area.

Weather forecasts indicate that the fog is expected to dissipate as northern winds and a new front move into the region, bringing cloudier skies and a slight drop in temperatures.
