Foggia defeats Sorrento 2-0 to end winless streak

Foggia secured a 2-0 victory against Sorrento at the Pino Zaccheria stadium, marking their first home win in several months and ending a long winless streak. The goals were scored in the second half by Berra, who converted a header from a corner in the 60th minute, and Ravasio, who scored from a penalty in the 78th minute following an on-field video review for a handball.

The win moves Foggia to eight points in Serie C Group C, helping them move away from the playout zone. For Sorrento, the defeat marks their second consecutive loss and results in them losing their position at the top of the league standings.

Foggia manager Gaetano Auteri noted that the team showed aggression and cohesion, specifically highlighting the effectiveness of their set-piece training. Sorrento manager Vincenzo Maiuri's side appeared to struggle with physical intensity and reactivity during the second half of the match.
