Foggia Calcio prepares for season opener against Team Altamura

Foggia Calcio 1920 is set to begin its 2026-2027 season with a Coppa Italia Serie C match against Team Altamura at the Pino Zaccheria stadium. Due to previous disciplinary measures following a pitch invasion during a match against Monopoli, the game will be played behind closed doors without spectators.

Following their recent reinstatement to Serie C, Foggia has undergone an intensive rebuilding process. The club has completed sixteen signings in eighteen days to construct a squad tailored to manager Gaetano Auteri. While the roster is still being finalized, the technical staff is actively seeking specific profiles, including an attacker, an inverted right winger, and an additional central defender.

Coach Auteri emphasized that the team is working to build a strong identity and values, noting that the upcoming match will serve as a vital test for the group's progress. Team Altamura enters the match as a consolidated opponent looking to maintain its standing in the professional leagues.
