Foggia healthcare cuts criticized by regional councilor

Giannicola De Leonardis, a regional councilor for Fratelli d'Italia, has criticized the regional government for cutting ambulance services in the province of Foggia. The criticism follows recent tax increases intended to address healthcare budget deficits in Puglia.

De Leonardis highlighted that the cuts affect several key areas, including Cerignola, Torremaggiore, Vieste, and Vico del Gargano. He also noted that 108 workers from Sanitaservice are being laid off. The councilor argued that these measures compromise the right to health and requested a restoration of proper medical vehicle resources to meet the needs of the local communities.
