Foggia hosts classical music series and international performances

Foggia is hosting several significant musical events this October. The Quatuor Naka, an international string quartet featuring Karen Nonomura, Giovanna Sevi, Camille Havel, and Boris Benazdia, will perform ‘Echi dell’Anima’ at the Teatro Umberto Giordano on October 13. The concert is part of the 56th concert season of Amici della Musica di Foggia and features works including Joseph Haydn’s String Quartet in G major, op. 77 no. 1.

Additionally, the 9th edition of the ‘Organ’Aria’ concert series begins on October 12 at the Foggia Cathedral. To mark the 160th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Italy, Tokyo-based organist Kinue Aota will perform a program titled ‘L’Occidente incontra l’Oriente’. The series, organized by the Umberto Giordano Conservatory, will continue through October 31 with performances in Cagnano Varano and San Severo.
