Foggia Mayor revokes assessor Luigi Iorio's mandate

Mayor Maria Aida Episcopo has revoked the position of assessor Luigi Iorio in Foggia. The decision was officially attributed to political, administrative, and organizational requirements rather than a sanction against Iorio’s professional qualities.

Political leaders from the Italian Socialist Party (PSI) have responded to the move. Karim Tabti, a socialist political leader, called for political clarity and responsibility, stating that Foggia cannot afford further internal divisions. Michele Santarelli, provincial secretary of Avanti Psi Foggia, expressed appreciation for Iorio’s work and urged the coalition to prioritize collective projects over personal interests and internal balances.
