Foggia medical responders save man after 45-minute resuscitation

In Foggia, medical personnel successfully performed 45 minutes of cardiopulmonary resuscitation to save a man suffering from a severe medical emergency. The patient's son expressed profound gratitude to the 118 ‘Macchia Gialla’ emergency station, describing the doctor, nurse, and rescuers as ‘angels and heroes’ for their timely intervention.

The family used the event to issue an appeal to institutions, urging for increased availability of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in public spaces and calling for improvements to the working conditions and staffing levels of the 118 emergency service. The patient is currently hospitalized at the Policlinico ‘Riuniti’ in Foggia.
