Foggia Road Police to conduct Safety Days traffic enforcement

The European Roads Policing Network, known as Roadpol, has confirmed the 2026 Safety Days initiative, which aims to achieve a single day with zero road fatalities.

From September 16 to September 22, 2026, the Foggia Road Police Section will conduct targeted traffic controls to prevent and combat dangerous driving behaviors. Enforcement efforts will focus on speeding, failure to use seatbelts or restraint devices, and mobile phone use while driving. The campaign also places a specific emphasis on protecting vulnerable road users, including pedestrians, cyclists, moped riders, and scooter users.

In addition to enforcement and sanctions, an information booth will be established in Foggia at the via Lanza pedestrian zone. Road police personnel will be available to demonstrate equipment such as breathalyzers, speed cameras, and telelasers, while providing public awareness information regarding road safety and responsible driving.
