Foggia State Archives to open viticulture history exhibition

The State Archives of Foggia is inaugurating a documentary and iconographic exhibition titled ‘La Terra, la Vite, la Memoria’ (The Earth, the Vine, the Memory) on October 16, 2026. Held at the Palazzo di Città in Foggia, the exhibition is part of the first ‘Festa dell’Uva’ festival, which runs from October 16 to 23.

The exhibition explores the historical connection between Borgo Incoronata and the viticulture traditions of the Capitanata region. Using archival documents, maps, and images, the display aims to highlight the agricultural and wine-making history of the area and the role of archives in preserving local identity. The exhibition is free to the public and will be open weekdays from 8:30 to 18:00, with special extended hours on Saturday, October 17.
