Foggia Red Cross headquarters break-in attempt leads to two arrests
Two men, aged 50 and 57, were arrested in flagrante delicto after attempting to break into the Foggia committee headquarters of the Italian Red Cross (Croce Rossa Italiana) on via Cimaglia.
The incident occurred late on the night of September 18-19. Authorities reported that the suspects had tampered with the facility's private video surveillance system approximately one hour before the attempted break-in. Upon arrival, Carabinieri officers discovered the men attempting to force the entrance gate.
Police seized tools used in the attempt, including a crowbar and pliers. Both individuals, who were already known to law enforcement, have been placed under house arrest facing charges of aggravated attempted theft in conspiracy.
