Foggia's La Magna Capitana library to reopen with extended hours

The “La Magna Capitana” library in Foggia is scheduled to reopen to the public on September 1 following the completion of safety works initiated in 2023. To celebrate the reopening, the Puglia Region's Department of Culture and the Foggia Bibliomuseal Pole have announced extended operating hours from 8:30 to 23:00.

A series of themed activities centered on the concept of “return” will be held. The program includes classical music listening sessions, literary meetings for reading groups, and a performance titled “Orizzonte Libro” featuring actor Pino Casolaro and musician Maurizio Rana.

Children's programming will feature storytelling sessions and multilingual readings. The reopening festivities will conclude with live music performances by various local artists, including Banda Larga, Vincenzo Mascolo, Torindo Colangione, Gene Crazed, and Punto Zero.
