Foios approves renovation and expansion of new Town Hall

The Foios City Council has approved the contract for the renovation and expansion of the municipal building. The works have been awarded to Electrotecnia Monrabal SL for a total of 3,306,943.07 euros, including VAT, with a maximum execution period of 18 months.

The project aims to nearly double the useful surface area of the Town Hall, increasing it from just over 500 m² to 1,000 m². This expansion is intended to reorganize municipal services and provide better spaces for citizen services, staff work, and public events.

The renovation will also incorporate the Casa Vella, a space of over 107 m², which will serve as a new assembly hall for plenary sessions, civil weddings, and receptions. Mayor Sergi Ruiz noted that the project resumes after previous delays caused by rising costs and the rescission of a prior contract.
