Foivos Papadakis slams new “Καλημέρα Ελλάδα” hosts

ANT1 announced that the historic morning news programme “Καλημέρα Ελλάδα” will be presented by journalists Akis Pavlopoulos and Vasilis Chiotis for the upcoming season. The change was promoted with a teaser video and a photo shoot that showed the two presenters joking with each other.

Foivos Papadakis, son of the late journalist Giorgos Papadakis who anchored the show for more than three decades, reacted publicly on Instagram. He reposted critical viewer comments such as “Έφυγε ο Γιώργος Παπαδάκης, πάει η πρωινή ενημέρωση” and “Σίγουρη αποτυχία”, and added his own statement: “Η απόλυτη ξεφτίλα… Μηδέν σεβασμός σε μια ιστορική εκπομπή που έχτισε ο πατέρας μου.” His remarks generated a wave of responses from supporters and critics alike.

The new presenters also issued their first joint statements, exchanging humorous banter during the backstage video and promising “πολλά να πούμε” in the new season.
