Foivos reveals inspiration behind Giorgos Mazonakis hit ‘San Imoun Paidi’

Following the death of singer Giorgos Mazonakis, songwriter Foivos has revisited the inspiration behind the 2003 hit song ‘San Imoun Paidi’ from the album ‘Savvato’.

Foivos revealed via TikTok that the song was inspired by a close friend's struggle with drug addiction. The composer described a deep friendship that drifted due to professional obligations, only for him to be contacted by the friend's mother. She had discovered evidence of drug use and sought Foivos's assistance. The composer noted that the friend's story ultimately had a positive conclusion.
