FOKBI and Ministry of Tourism launch NTT disaster relief drive

The Indonesian Federation of Cultural Creative Sports (FOKBI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, launched a solidarity movement titled ‘Gerak Peduli NTT – Ikan Nae di Pante’ to raise funds for disaster victims in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Held in Jakarta on September 27, 2026, to coincide with World Tourism Day, the event combined traditional Indonesian creative gymnastics, Sasando music, and cultural arts with social activism. The initiative was conducted via a hybrid format, involving 250 direct participants in Jakarta and regional FOKBI members across Indonesia via online platforms.

FOKBI Chairperson Sapta Nirwandar stated that the movement serves as a way to share compassion with those facing difficult situations in NTT. The fundraising process includes digital payments via QRIS and cash donations, which will remain open for one week. The KORPRI Foundation has already provided an initial symbolic donation of Rp25 million. All collected funds are intended to be distributed within one to two weeks, with FOKBI coordinating with local regents to ensure aid reaches underserved areas such as Manggarai and Bajawa.
